Your 2011 NEXL/NEPL B.O.N.E. 7Man and NEXL Qualifiers

7 Man Championship Bracket:

Boston Armada

No strangers to the Best of New England party, Armada has competed in every Best of New England event since 2005 claiming the crown in 2007 and posting undefeated preliminary records in 3 consecutive BONE events. These guys live to gunfight (and to lesser extent fistfight), they leave it all on the field every game and this is rumored to be their final NEPL event before leaving for the national stage in 2012, perhaps they want to go out on a high note? Entering the event in the #1 spot and winning 2 out of the 4 regular season events some would say Armada has the momentum to take the cup for the 2nd time in their team history… most would say that’s only if they can keep their attitudes and mouths in check.

New England Synergy
Based out of Granite State Paintball they have been dominating force in New England paintball for over 7 years, with podium finishes in nearly every NEPL event they have entered, Synergy already has their name on the Best of New England Cup and has clinched multiple season titles to boot. This season Synergy has seen a few uncharacteristic hiccups this season but the results of a handful of events should not have them taken lightly as they arguably they have the best gunfighters and breakouts in the league. Going into the final event in the #2 spot Synergy is out to prove once again they are truly the best of the best.

Liberty's Minutemen
To call the Minutemen “underdogs” would be an unfair statement as they will enter the final event in the #3 spot, Based out of Liberty Paintball in NY the Minutemen burst onto the 7man scene in their rookie season with an aggressiveness and unpredictability that took the entire division by surprise, finishing 2nd place on their first 7man outing in a 2-1 final and consistently laying down W’s against some of the NEPL’s most veteran and hardened teams with a fast simultaneous bump and 40/50 breakout strategy. Watching this team play you would never realize that they, due to the distance they travel on tournament weekends, do not attend official NEPL rotations and as a result sometimes will not see the actual field until the morning of the event. This team brings a whole new level of dedication to the 7man format and have proved all season long they belong in the fight for their name on the Cup.

Hostile Intent
Based out of Boston Paintball and heading into the final event in the #4 spot is the only 7man championship bracket team that is actively competing on both a local (NEPL) and national (NPPL) level. The 2010 5th overall D3 NPPL 7man squad is doing double time this season and it shows, Hostile Intent in preparation for both events spilt their practice schedule between NEPL Rotations and NPPL sessions in PA. Practicing some of the best 7man teams in the world and drawing up game plans that are blowing other divisional teams out of the water. Hostile Intent’s roster, farm system & coaching staff has the most depth and is producing more results than any of their competitors this season and with those results the team is gaining tools to raise the cup on Sunday.

Boats & Hoes

The wildcard of the season, Boats & Hoes is the only non-Franchise team in the fight for the Cup and as a testament to their success this season as they sneak into the 5th and final championship bracket spot, an amazing feat considering they did not even compete in the first event. The B&H veteran roster features some of the brightest stars past and present not only in New England Paintball but on a national stage as well, that experience and intensity has shown every event with 2 out of 3 events resulting in podium finishes and an army of loyal fans. Win or lose Boats & Hoes set sail in 2011 to compete and most importantly to have fun playing with life long friends, I’d say they regardless of the results on Sunday they have had a successful season on both fronts.

NEXL D3 Championship Bracket

Team No Name

TNN has won every single NEXL event thus far, they are with out a doubt favorited to win this event as their track record has proven to consistent throughout the entire 2011 season.  Coming hot of a win at NEXL 4 and the PSP New Jersey Open they will be looking to make it a perfect season on Saturday in NEXL.

GRIND

Coming off of loosing part of its core as Bloodline, the team combined with their farm team First Blood who won event 2 in D4, to form GRIND along with the rest of Bloodline.  They came back at event 3 to preform just as well as they always did but ended up having a rough run at event 4 after many missed practices and inconsistent preparation for the event.  GRIND has been aggresivly practicing the BONE Cup layout for the past 3 weeks since event 4 and is coming in prepared to try to get that win they have been busting their humps for all season.

S.I.N.

Coming off its second place finish in foXball, S.I.N. will be trying to put its mark on the NEXL by making a run for BONE Cup this year.  They were able to take out TNN and GRIND at NEXL 4 and are trying to build on that momentum going into this event.  As always they will be a strong competitor coming into Saturday and should not be underestimated by any team in this championship bracket.

New England Lobsters

The Lobsters were on FIRE at NEXL E4.  They have a top notch staff and a large group of dedicated players that have been practicing every weekend for this event along with GRIND in order to be prepared mentally and physically for their run at the CUP.  The Lobsters have yet to clinch a win in a NEXL event since they began playing when the league started.  They are definitely a team to watch because of how much they have improved this season as individuals and a team all together.

Identity

A team very present at the national level and 7Man as well, Identity will be hungry for an XBall win this year.  They have combined their D3 and D4 squads which proved to work with them at NEXL 4.  The team has great leadership and a good support system as well as a pool of talented players.  They have proved that they belong in the championship bracket and will fight to the death to clinch this end of the year win.
